My name is Nick Blom. I'm CEO and founder of Conversation24, an AI lead follow-up orchestration infrastructure with enterprise clients including KPN, Randstad, Allianz, Sonova and Mazda. We operate in 13 countries.
To build it, I needed engineers. Local recruitment in the Netherlands wasn't going to work. Salaries too high, timelines too long, quality unpredictable. So I built a 100% remote team instead. At peak, 30 developers across Eastern Europe, Brazil and Egypt.
It worked. 50% cheaper than local, and the people we found turned out to be more loyal and harder working than most of the developers I'd had in-house before.
When Dutch investors put €5M into the company, the way we'd built the team was one of the reasons they trusted us with it.
